I lead the design and development of next-generation flexible videoendoscopes at Olympus for HCL, building on over three decades of advancements in solid-state imaging and mechanical design. Our product portfolio includes multiple models, each tailored with unique features optimized for specific regions of the gastrointestinal tract. While control section variations (such as “pistol-grip” concepts) have been explored, the core design principles and instrument layout remain consistent, ensuring reliability and familiarity for clinicians. Across all models, the essential components and controls share a common architecture, providing a unified and intuitive user experience.
